UCC Works Award Higher Awards

Employability Star Award, Global Citizen Award, and Leadership Award

The UCC Works Employability Star Award, Global Citizen Award, and Leadership Award will be awarded to students who have received three or more UCC Works Awards over a minimum of two years in UCC.

The awards must be spread over at least two academic years and must include awards from three of the four pathways:

Internship pathway, Student Life Pathway, Volunteer Pathway, Entrepreneur Pathway

Selection Criteria

The UCC Works Accreditation Committee will assess the updated CVs and reflective reports of the applicants. The reflective reports will assist applicants reflect on the following transferable skills required by graduate recruiters:

Interpersonal skills
Customer/Client Focus
Planning and Organisational Skills

Six applicants will be chosen to go forward for a formal interview with a selection panel consisting of:

The head of student Experience
A member of the UCC Works Committee
A member of the University Management Team
A number of graduate recruiters

The selection panel will expect applicants to demonstrate that they are work-ready by providing evidence in their CVs, reflective reposts and interviews of having developed the key transferable skills outlined above.
