Welcome to the Work Placement Website.
What is Placement? It's a three-way partnership between the University, the employer and the student. It gives students the opportunity to gain practical work experience relevant to their course and gives employers a valuable source of skilled labour. It also allows the University to build important links with industry.
Work Placement Managers, based at the Careers Service, are responsible for the management and development of programmes in the College of Business and Law, the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences, and the College of Food, Science and Engineering. A number of other Placement programmes are managed directly by our academic departments and information on these can be obtained from the relevant academic staff.
Follow the links opposite to find out general information about Placement and for specific information on an individual programme, please contact the relevant Placement Managers.
