Application Process 2018/2019

Students wishing to book accommodation for the 2018/2019 Academic Year will have one month to make an application.  Rooms will be allocated by a random selection LOTTERY.

Applications Open:         February 7th, 2018.

Applications Close:         March 7th, 2018 at 5pm.

A Booking Deposit is not required to make an Application.  Your application will be included in the RANDOM SELECTION LOTTERY as long as you apply within the time frame with a valid CAO number, PAC number or Student Number, live more than 45 kilometers from UCC and are planning to study at UCC.

Rooms will be offered to successful applicants by e-mail in the first round of the Lottery, which will take place from March 12th, 2018. Successful applicants must accept room offers within one week by email and pay the Booking Deposit of €300 to confirm.  Once the initial room offers have been made, all remaining applicants are placed on an Applicants Waiting List. As cancellations come in during the summer and are processed, up to the beginning of the Academic Year, the Lottery continues and rooms are offered to students on the Applicants Waiting List.

Applications can be made through the Accommodation Portal which will be available on the UCC Campus Accommodation pages from February 7th, 2018.  The Portal will be visible in a PURPLE BOX. Please follow instructions carefully for REGISTERING on the Portal and MAKING AN APPLICATION. It is essential to keep in mind that accommodation for all eligible students is determined by a LOTTERY and your chances of receiving a room are the same regardless of when you apply during this one month time frame.

Students with a Disability

UCC is dedicated to the inclusion of students with a disability and acknowledges that some students with significant needs as a result of their disability may require access to UCC Campus Accommodation.  In collaboration with the Disability Support Service (DSS), a range of housing options have been reserved for eligible undergraduate and postgraduate students with priority given to new students who have applied to UCC through the Disability Access Route to Education for admission in September 2018. http://accesscollege.ie/dare/

Requests for disability-related housing accommodations are considered on a case-by-case basis recognizing our very limited space availability. We strongly encourage all students to explore other accommodation options via the link below. http://accommodation.ucc.ie/Students
