Dr. Sheryl Lynch (B.A; MMUS; PhD) is Head of European Research at Future Analytics Consulting, specialising in the fields of sustainability, social impact, and urban resilience. In 2012 Sheryl was awarded an Irish Research Council Scholarship for her Doctoral work at UCD on Cameroonian music, migration and cultural transformation. She then published in sociology and musicology in Canada, Ireland and the UK, lectured at the University of Nottingham and held the Gender Taskforce Project Management position in Policy and Strategic Planning at the Higher Education Authority. Previously, she was Education Officer with ICTM Ireland from 2012-15 whilst adjuncting at UCD and DCU respectively. Sheryl enjoyed publishing on Queer Women's spaces in the Canadian Graduate Journal of Social Justice Research (2016) and in the Rowman and Littlefield series, Public and Political Discourses of Migration (2016) where she presented alternative voices to the hegemonies imbued in public migrant discourse by outlining the power of musical action in unpacking the prescribed canon of exclusivity, identity, and integration
