What does it mean to be an Italian abroad today?

Mario Badagliacca, the creator of an exhibition (Fragments, 2013) currently showing at Cork City library, presents his work on Italian migrants abroad. The purpose of this photographic essay is to invite the exploration of the common background elements leading Italians to migrate, but also to explore the specific characteristics of migration contexts across time and space from an historical and social perspective. The intent of the project is to collect stories of life involving Italian communities and individuals belonging to different generations.
