Dr Robert Bolton
School of Applied Social Studies

I recently graduated with a PhD in Applied Social Studies. My research was an ethnographic study which focused on the performance of young masculinities in youth cafes.
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher based in the School of Applied Social Studies, working on the Living Well with the Dead in Contemporary Ireland project (https://livingwithdead.wixsite.com/website). This project aims to develop a new medical humanities framework in thinking about how we are to live well with the dead.
I have recently completed a report on the barriers to unmarried fathers in the sharing of parenting with Elizabeth Kiely.
