Mode of Teaching Delivery and Timetables College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences
The College of Arts, Celtic Studies & Social Sciences is committed to provide a high quality educational experience, offering our students as much face to face time as possible whilst keeping students and staff safe. To comply with government guidelines and to ensure the safety of both our students and staff, the majority of our degree programmes will be delivered in a blended fashion in 2020-2021. This means students will engage in both online learning (live online events and pre-made online content) and on-campus learning (in-person sessions at UCC). How each programme will be delivered depends on a number of factors including the discipline being studied, the class size, external accreditation requirements and of course public health guidelines.

Degree Programme Timetables
Please click on the timetables links provided below to view the timetable for each course.
CK101 Subject Timetables
All subjects in CK101 Arts will have a significant amount of classroom teaching in the coming academic year, subject to prevailing pandemic circumstances and public health guidelines. The timetable for CK101 can be found at First Year Subject Lectures 2020
Full timetable and delivery information will be available once you register for your subjects/modules by mid-September.
Students will be contacted where some modules are only delivered online; otherwise, it can be assumed for now there will be classes on campus every week.
Please contact your programme coordinator or subject school/department for further information, and also to discuss any health issues that might affect your return to campus in the pandemic environment. Further information on registration and orientation can be found on our incoming first year website.
Returning students
Timetable and delivery information will be available once you register for your subjects/modules. You will need to complete the following steps:
- You will receive an email invitation to register for the new academic term around mid September. Further details on when your module will be open for registration is contained on the ongoing students registration schedule
- Registration must be completed in order to deliver your detailed timetable
- Register for your course and modules through MyStudentAdmin
- Once registered, your overall timetable of mandatory modules will be populated through Canvas
- Your complete and personalised time table containing elective subjects, tutorials and class groups will follow at a later stage once all students have registered and all class sizes and module selections have been finalised
Get further information from your School or Department
Your School will be able to put you in touch with your individual programme coordinator. The programme coordinators have the latest information on how their programmes will be delivered, what balance of blended learning will be available for each programme, and other details specific to the modules within your degree programme.
