Gerry Quinn

 

Gerry is the Chief Operations Officer of the Central Bank of Ireland reporting directly to the Governor. In this role Gerry has responsibility for Human Resources, Finance, Procurement, Information Technology,  Programme Management Office, Facilities Management (including the Bank’s new headquarters project), Regulatory Transactions and Currency Operations. 

 

Gerry joined the Bank in 2010 as CIO before taking on the newly created COO role in 2011. Gerry is a member of the Governor’s Committee (together with the Deputy Governors) and chairs the Operations Committee, the Capital Investment Committee and the Business Continuity Committee.

 

Prior to joining the Bank Gerry was Chief Information Officer in Eir, Irelands largest telecommunication company, for seven years. In all, he has over 25 years management experience gained in the public and private sectors. Gerry received an MSc in Organisational Behaviour from Trinity College, Dublin in 2000.
