Ambassador O’Malley graduated from the Saint Louis University School of Law. A former federal prosecutor for the US Department of Justice, Ambassador O’Malley was appointed US Ambassador to Ireland (2014-2017) by President Obama and worked actively to further links between the US and Ireland in areas such as industry, law and culture. In March 2017 he was appointed a non-executive director of Greencore Group, a billion dollar multi-national food company with its headquarters in Ireland and has also returned to Greenfelder, Hemker and Gale where he previously led the medical negligence and white collar crime areas of the litigation practice group.

Ambassador O’Malley is the senior author of the nine volume treatise O’Malley, Grenig and Lee, Federal Jury Practice and Instructions and has been elected to Fellowship in the American College of Trial Lawyers.
