Tyndall New Laboratory Building

Construction Update June 2008 current activities:

• RC main frame completed
• Commencing 1st fix mechanical and electrical works first floor
• Commenced installation of clean room on ground floor
• Plant room and atrium steel delivered to site
• Removal of Galbestos cladding Block B
• Contined installation of underground services within Atrium ground floor
• Close-out of the summer shutdown works
• Completion of new CHW piping runs in Block A and loading platform for AHU replacement

Upcoming works: 

• Erection of Block C roof plant rooms and complete permanent roof finishes
• Commence M & E fit out to ground floor and 3rd floors and contine installation on 1st floor
• Commence 2nd fix M & E to basement area
• Progress internal room partitions on each floor
• Continue external finishes to Block B & C
• Continued works within the new Atrium area and structural upgrades at high level
• Start erection of Atrium passenger lift and stairwell structural steel
• Complete summer shutdown
