Professor Dmitri Papkovsky receives an Invitational Fellowship
Professor Dmitri Papkovsky from our School received an invitational Fellowship from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.
The Fellowship covers a 2-week lecture tour in Japan during November with presentations at seven Universities/Research Centres in Tokyo, Yokohama, Kyoto, Saga, Kiryu.
The Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) provides fellowship programs for overseas researchers who have an excellent record of research achievements to conduct collaborative research, discussions, and opinion exchanges with researchers in Japan. The programs are intended to help advance the overseas researchers' research activities while promoting science and internationalization in Japan. The Invitation Fellowship program is designed to enable Japanese researchers to invite their overseas colleagues to Japan to participate in cooperative work and other academic activities.
Professor Papkovsky was selected under the 2nd recruitment of FY2017 JSPS Invitation Fellowship for Research in Japan. Under this recruitment, 302 applicants were received, among which 80 fellowships were awarded.
