Health and Safety Courses
Compulsory Health and Safety courses — Staff and Post Doctoral Workers
The Universities Health and Safety Policy advises that there are two compulsory online courses to complete, and one classroom-based as follows:
- Fire Safety (Online)
- VDU (Online)
- Manual Handling (Classroom-based)
To access the online courses, please log on to: http://o-las.net/logins/companyLogin/5144 and follow instructions given by the Universitiy's Health and Safety Office. If you experience a problem logging in, please contact Nicola Kerin on ext. 2817 in UCC Health and Safety Office. Please advise Yvonne when completed and she will update your Health and Safety record accordingly.
Classroom-based Health and Safety Courses
Each month, UCC Health and Safety Office advise courses available to you free of charge.
For example:
- Chemical Spills
- Chemical Risk Assessment
- Fire extinguisher
- Fire Marshal
- First Aid Certificate (including CPR)
- Lifting (manual handling)

All courses will be added to your Health and Safety training record.
