I’m a Postdoctoral Researcher in the iCRAG (Irish Centre for Research in Applied Geosciences) Marine Geoscience spoke. I earned my PhD in Marine Geophysics from the University of Bremen in 2013. My PhD research was part of the project Baltic Gas and focused on the seismo-acoustic imaging and quantification of shallow methane gas in the Holocene marine sediments of the Baltic Sea. In 2014, I worked as a consultant at the Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy and as a researcher at the MARUM – Center for Marine Environmental Sciences in Bremen.

My research is aimed at increasing our understanding of the Quaternary development of the Irish Shelf Seas utilizing seismo-acoustic data. I work within the Geology Department at the School of BEES to investigate such topics as
• Quaternary seismostratigraphy of the Irish Shelf Seas,
• morphology, infill and origin of paleovalleys on the nearshore shelf in the Celtic Sea,
• tunnel valleys in the Irish Sea,
• limits and timing of advance/retreat of the last Irish Ice Sheet.
