Geology research is an integral component of the School research portfolio, contributing to the shared research mission of the School. The Geology research strategy has placed emphasis on linking staff expertise with applied research portfolio to positive effect whilst maintaining fundamental academic research. Details of staff members engaged in different areas of geosciences research are outlined below. Geology at BEES is co-founder, PIs and sector (spoke) coordinator in the new €17.8m SFI/industry funded Irish Centre for Research in Applied Geosciences (iCRAG).
