BEES was represented by Sini Burdillat (Ecology 4) who was highly commended for her third year project.

The literature review project, entitled "Would Green Roofs be Suitable for Ireland" was highly commended by the Undergraduate Awards, a scheme which was founded in 2008 as an initiative to "celebrate students who propose fresh arguments and new approaches, providing undergraduate students with an opportunity to accelerate their ideas on a global platform".

Sini was shortlisted alongside students from institutions such as Princeton University, Harvard University, Yale University and others.

Sini's supervisor for her project, Eoin Lettice, School of BEES, congratualted her on being highly commended: "Sini is an excellent student and we're extremely proud of her achievement in the Undergraduate Awards. I'd encourage all 3rd and 4th year students to consider submitting their best coursework for the awards, as it is important that the high quality of student work at BEES is continually recognised".

You can now register your intent to submit coursework for the 2013 Undergraduate Awards. For full details, and to register, see the website.
