Record a video clip to include in my course
Panopto
Panopto can be used to upload or record video from your webcam or mobile device. These videos can easily be included in your course material on Canvas. Go to our Panopto page for instructions on how to use Panopto. Panopto is the recommended video recording platform as it has no limits on the amount of video that can be recorded.
Canvas
Canvas allows the recording of shorter video snippets using it’s in-built video recorder. The Canvas support pages contains information on how to create your own video snippets

Record/stream my on campus lecture/presentation
Panopto 
Panopto is the tool to use to record lectures in UCC. Our dedicated Panopto page should provide you will all the necessary information.
Live Stream/Webinar a presentation or event
Panopto 
Panopto is the recommended tool that can be used to live stream events taking place on campus or from any laptop. This link shows you how to setup a live stream in advance using Panopto. See our dedicated Panopto page for more information on how to stream from Panopto and Canvas.
Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams also supports live streaming and webinars. This solution is recommended where more interactivity is required, for example where there are multiple remote presenters and where a Live Q&A chat box is required. Go to our Micrsoft Teams Cheat Sheet sheet page for recommended use of Teams for conferencing. To create a live public event or 250+ person event in Teams see these instructions . Google Meet 
Google meet also has an increased limit of 250 participants per call. Live streaming is available with an increased audience limit of up to 100,000 viewers within a domain. ZOOM - Not Supported in UCC
UCC does not hold a Zoom site license and therefore is unable provide technical support for the use of Zoom.

Create a video assignment for my students
Panopto 
- Panopto can be used via Canvas. See this page for how to create a video assignment
- Mobile devices or Desktop PCs can also be used for creating content in conjunction with the Panopto Desktop, iPhone and Android apps.
- Students can then upload their video assignment to Panopto via canvas. See this page for how a student can submit
- The Library Studio can be booked by students who are looking to record their own piece to camera.

Attend an online meeting
If you are attending an online meeting, the meeting organiser should provide you with the access link well in advance. Many organisations use tools such as WebEx etc.
If you have received conference login details from a piece of software you are unfamiliar with, be sure to test it in advance.
