MPhil/PhD & Post-Doctorate Programme

The MPhil/PhD programme will be designed to allow students to develop academic expertise in a particular area of interest relating to Contemporary China. The programme will be of particular interest to graduates in social sciences and humanities preparing for a career involving interaction with China. The completion of the Doctoral degree will pave way for a successful career.

Students will study the MPhil/Doctoral degree in Chinese Studies on either a full-time or a part-time basis. In general, the minimum duration for full-time PhD study is three years while the maximum duration for part-time PhD study is five years.

The Institute will offer Post-Doctorate programme. The duration of post-doctorate programmes will be from one year to three years depending on the nature of research topics.
