Evening courses open to all in Chinese, Japanese and Korean

Chinese
Chinese: Beginners
This course provides students with basic skills in Chinese language including speaking, listening, reading and writing. By the end of the course, students will have acquired a vocabulary of around 100 Chinese characters which will enable them to read and write and have simple conversations in Mandarin. Complete beginners or those with some knowledge of Chinese welcome.
Start date: Wednesday 18th September 2019 (once a week for 10 weeks)

Chinese: Intermediate

Japanese
Japanese: Beginners 1
This introductory Japanese course uses interactive and learner-centred approaches to provide students with a both an enjoyable learning experience and a practical foundation in both the spoken and written Japanese language. There is an emphasis on developing basic skills, which would be useful if visiting Japan or meeting a Japanese person for the first time. The course will also provide an introduction to both traditional and current aspects of Japanese culture and society. Absolute beginners and those with some knowledge of Japanese language welcome.

Korean
Korean: Beginners

Korean: Beginners 2
This course aims to improve the skills acquired during the beginner’s course. The classes will continue to focus on conversation, while introducing more complex grammar structures, and different levels of language register. Students will also acquire a much larger vocabulary and be able to use different tenses.
