Short courses (2018/19)


The Department of History of Art offers short courses which run during  the acadamic year. The courses are taught by History of Art staff and guest speakers. Each course focuses on a specific aspect of the history of art and is designed to develop the student's awareness of the historical, cultural, social and political environments that have shaped the history of art. Students will strengthen their ability to discuss and analyse critically through sustained engagement with key works of art within their choice of topic. A number of class trips are organized, including study tours to Florence, Rome, Berlin, Amsterdam and London.

Students may choose from a range of topics in Semester 1 (September-November 2018) and Semester 2 (January-April 2019). Courses include:
