Six years ago [2016], it was a normal day at work, it was about 4 o’clock. Sitting on my computer, drinking some water and I couldn’t hold onto the water. Right next to me, a girl called me straight away and I weren’t out’. Before his stroke Kieron was an engineer. “My 20-30. I worked on boats all over the world, engineer. My 30-40. I was working maintenance manager Dublin”.
Kieron is an exceptional photographer and since his stroke he has opened Kieron O’Connor Photography Gallery in Cobh, Cork, Ireland.
Kieron published a book of dramatic photographs that he took during the pandemic lockdown “This is the calm before the storm, before the surge” My Book, Photographic journey along Lockdown Ireland 2020, Cobh, Cork Harbour. Important points at that time happened by the Taoiseach, and the people.”
