Stanton Lab
Prof Catherine Stanton is a leading researcher in food and health, focusing on how diet affects the bacteria in our gut and overall well-being. She works as a Senior Principal Research Officer at Teagasc and is a Research Professor at University College Cork's College of Medicine and Health.
She is also Principal Investigator at APC Microbiome Ireland leading research on how infant nutrition and perinatal exposures influence the infant gut microbial community in early life. She also works with International Food companies.
She was awarded a Doctor of Science degree by the National University of Ireland in 2009 and has been recognised as one of the top 1% of researchers in her field.
