Marietta Iacucci Prof Marietta Iacucci, University College Cork, is a leading researcher in the field of AI and a pioneer in ‘endo-histo-omics’ that fuses endoscopic and histologic information with ‘multi-omics data in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Colon cancer. The ‘Endo-Histo-Barrier Omics team at APC Microbiome Ireland work together under the supervision of Prof. Marietta Iacucci.

A core theme of Prof. Iacucci’s Precision Endo-Histo-Omics research is to develop next-generation medical imaging using advanced endoscopic technologies integrated with gut multi-omics profiling and artificial intelligence (AI) for precision diagnosis, outcome prediction and personalised therapy in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and colon cancer Her goal is to drive transdisciplinary precision medicine research in IBD and colon cancer. and imaging techniques.A red GI tract in front of bacteria
