Jessica Stanisich

Biography

After completing her PhD in 2021, Jessica worked as a postdoc studying host protein-bacteria interactions in the context of urinary tract infections, while also working as a scientific writer for a microbial cell-cell interactions lab at ETH Zurich. Subsequently, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry as an analytical scientist before returning to academia as APC’s Research Funding Manager. Here, Jessica supports scientists throughout the grant application process, from brainstorming ideas and networking consortia to drafting proposals and final proofs for submissions. She enjoys scientific writing and communication and works with students, postdocs, and professors at APC to translate their ideas and findings into successful grant applications.
