I graduated from UCC in 2003 and completed specialty training on the Irish national anaesthesia training program in 2012. I completed subspecialty fellowship training in paediatric anaesthesia (2009-10) at The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, and was a Consultant Anesthesiologist in the Division of Cardiac Anesthesia at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, from 2012 to 2018. I joined the Department of Anaesthesia, Bon Secours Hospital, Cork, in 2018.

In addition, I obtained a Masters degree in clinical epidemiology from the University of Sydney (Australia) and a Doctoral degree in anaesthesia research from UCC.
