    UCC ranked as world leader for social and economic impact

    University College Cork (UCC) has been ranked as one of the leading universities in the world for sustainable social and economic impact, in the inaugural 2019 Times Higher Education (THE) University Impact rankings. Over 500 institutions, from 75 countries, across six continents, submitted data to be analysed on their success in contributing towards the delivery of the United Nations’ (UN) Sustainable Development Goals, which seek to develop the world in a sustainable manner. UCC was ranked 21st in the world, placing it as Ireland’s leading university that is working towards the development of the world in a sustainable way.

    As part of our response to the survey, we are supporting a new chapters and event programme focused on the cities where we have significant numbers of alumni: Dublin, London, New York and Boston, and of course Cork. With growing populations of UCC alumni in each of these locations, we plan to build a network which will enable alumni to connect and interact with one another around the world.

    London Football Final

    Support UCC’s alumni team in the final of the London FA Junior Cup: the most prestigious cup competition for amateur football clubs in London. Upwards of 100 teams enter the cup and the UCC side has beaten a number of clubs playing at a higher level.
