Course Overview:
This eight-week course is a practical introduction to the world of wine (Wine included in the price).
Want to improve your wine knowledge? This wine courses is for you! This wine course and wine tasting experience will be delivered each week. The eight-week course is a practical introduction to the world of wine. The course will focus on the ‘old world' wine regions - principally France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Portugal and Austria. We will taste six wines each evening from the classic wine regions of Europe. The course is designed specifically for people who enjoy wine and would like to learn more about it. You do not need any previous experience.
How will it work? Each class will be delivered over a two-hour period, with a tutored tasting included. During the class and tasting we will explore in detail the wines, the terroir and areas they are from. It will be a fun, social, and interactive experience.
Course Lecturer :
Tom McKernan has decades of experience and association with the wine industry will hosts the event. Tom is a level four WSET wine educated professional.
Requirements:
Applicants must be at least 18 years old at course commencement.
Assessment:
Short courses are not assessed. Students will receive a UCC Certificate of Attendance upon completion.
