Get to Know Cork
Before arriving at UCC students should take time to get to know Cork city. This will help any students seeking private accommodation and will help students adjust to life in Cork once they make the move.
The main campus of University College Cork is situated on the south west side of Cork city, roughly a 20-minute walk from the city centre. The campus is situated in a primarily residential area, where traditionally the majority of our students have resided during term time.
The main campus is serviced by a number of public bus routes. Students should consider these routes when searching for accommodation as houses and apartments in the immediate vicinity may not be available.

The Coca-Cola Zero Bike service is available in Cork city centre 7 days a week. There are a number of bike stations in the immediate vicinity of the university’s main campus.
