Catrina Solan graduated with a degree in Law from Newcastle University, UK, and completed her Legal Practice Course with Distinction at the College of Law, York. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in England and Wales in 2002 and gained valuable experience in general practice in a large City Centre practice in Leeds. Following relocation to Cork, Catrina was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Ireland in 2007. She worked for eight years with the litigation department of O’Flynn Exhams, a large commercial practice in Cork City, gaining valuable experience in employment law, commercial litigation, data protection and freedom of information law, with a particular emphasis on advising public sector bodies and educational establishments.
Catrina joined UCC Academy in 2016 and advises the company on all legal matters from commercial contracts, employment and workplace policies, to GDPR compliance and more general compliance issues.
