Professor Dmitri B. Papkovsky, Biochemistry Department, UCC, has received a Principal Investigator award from Science Foundation Ireland totalling €1.2 million.

Professor Dmitri B. Papkovsky, Biochemistry Department, UCC, has received a Principal Investigator award from Science Foundation Ireland totalling €1.2 million.
This funding will support Professor Papkovsky's team at UCC to develop
new intracellular oxygen sensing and imaging technology, and apply this
technology to the studies of cell metabolism and common disease states
including stroke, cancer, hypoxia. This programme, of both basic and
applied research, will involve active collaboration with a number of
leading groups in Ireland and worldwide.
