Fees

This programme receives funding from the Government under a major initiative to meet IT skills needs identified by the Expert Group on Future Skills Needs, therefore EU Students admitted to this programme in 2012/2013 will pay a reduced annual tuition fee of &euro 2750. Non-EU students will pay an annual tuition fee of &euro 11620.

EU Applicants

Irish Government Maintenance Grant

EU nationals or people with refugee status who are living in Ireland, and are either mature students (over 23 years old) or have low income, may be eligible for a grant from the Irish Government that will provide a maintenance grant and/or pay all or part of the fees for the MSc course. Please see the Irish Government Citizens Information website for more information on eligibility and how to apply. Another website with useful information about the maintenance grant scheme is www.studentfinance.ie.

Irish Government Exchange Scholarships

In addition, the Irish Government offers Irish Government Exchange Scholarships various EU countries including Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, and Portugal.

North South Scholarships

Universities Ireland, the body which promotes collaboration between the universities in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, offers two scholarships to students undertaking a Master's course in the other Irish jurisdiction. Non-EU Applicants

Non-EU applicants often win scholarships in their own countries, or obtain scholarships or grants from other sources. We have outlined some of the scholarships and funding sources for non-EU applicants below. You may also be able to find some additional scholarships listed at the International Education Financial Aid (IEFA) website.

Commonwealth Scholarships

Commonwealth Scholarships are available for students from the Commonwealth countries.

AlBan Programme Scholarships

AlBan Programme Scholarships are available for students from Latin American countries.

Sir Edward Youde Fellowships

Sir Edward Youde Fellowships are available for students from Hong Kong.

Fulbright Scholarships

Fulbright Scholarships for students from the United States of America.

George Mitchell Scholarships

George Mitchell Scholarships for students from the United States of America.

Africa Educational Trust Scholarships

Africa Educational Trust Scholarships for students from African countries.

Irish Government Exchange Scholarships

Irish Government Exchange Scholarships for students from various non-EU countries, including Australia, China, Finland, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Norway, Russia, Switzerland, Vietnam and the Republic of Turkey.

Irish Government Scholarships

Scholarships for Mexican applicants

Various scholarships are available for students from Mexico, including those from Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnologia (CONACYT), FUNED, Fundacion Beca, and FIDERH.

World Health Organisation Fellowships

The World Health Organisation (WHO) offers some scholarships for students from developing countries.

UNESCO Fellowships

UNESCO offers some fellowships.

Ford Foundation Fellowships

Ford Foundation provides fellowships for individuals historically disadvantaged groups, including racial, ethnic and religious minorities and people living with disabilities.

Allan & Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust

Allan & Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust provides fellowships to help meet tuition costs.

University College Cork Overseas Student Scholarships

UCC Student Assistance Fund

As part of an initiative to tackle educational disadvantage, an ESF aided Student Assistance Fund has been made available to UCC by the Department of Education and Science. Full-time registered postgraduate students academic year are eligible to apply for assistance from the fund. However resources will be targeted at those disadvantaged students most in need.
