Instructions for Joining the IrishLaw Discussion List

Irish Law Site Home Page

These instructions apply to members of the free IrishLaw discussion list, which has traffic of two messages per day on average.

[To join the separate (also free) IrishLaw Updates list, which has a maximum of one message per week, go to the 'Join or Leave the IrishLaw Updates List' page.

Members of the IrishLaw discussion list automatically receive the Irish Law Update e-mails as well.  There is no need to join the two lists.]

There are two alternative methods of joining the IrishLaw discussion list:

Method One

Visit the following web address and follow the instructions:

http://listserv.heanet.ie/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=irishlaw&A=1

Method Two

Send the following one-line e-mail message to listserv@listserv.heanet.ie :

subscribe irishlaw

[Notes:
-  Leave the subject line blank and place the 'subscribe irishlaw' command in the body of the message.
-  Normally, LISTSERV will extract both your e-mail address and your real name from the mail headers generated by your computer. But some computer programs do not supply any real name, and LISTSERV may ask you to resend the command with your name.]

Technical Queries

Occasionally people have difficulty joining the list, and technical queries may be e-mailed to Darius Whelan -  d.whelan@ucc.ie

Alternatively you may wish to consult the listserv user's manual at
