The Mathsoc Committee

Auditor

This is the person that makes sure everyone else is doing lots of work.

Vice Auditor

This is the vice person that makes sure everyone else is doing lots of work.


Treasurer

The treasurer has the responsibility of applying for and getting money for the society. I strongly advise you to befriend this person! They hold the Mathsoc's wallet.

Social Secretary

The social sec is the person who organises nights out and decides which pub to go to after a lecture. They are charged with making sure that everyone in the society gets as much free stuff as possible on a night out.


Public Relations Officer

The PRO keeps that board in the Kane basement up to date. They get to make up witty posters to show off how great maths is!

Secretary

As well as keeping track of what we talk about in meetings the secretary gets stuck with all the stuff that isnt someone elses job.


Competitions Officer

Here we have the one who organises all the competitions throughout the year. This ranges from the Superbrain to the Maths Cup.

Booking Officer

The booking officer finds us decent places to hold our events in. The incredibly important job that always seems to go unrecognised.


Webmaster

Thats my job. Considering your on the website I guess its fairly self explanatary...

Postgraduate Officer

The postgrad officer makes sure that the post grads dont all lose touch with the rest of the mathsoc once they move on from lectures and the like.


First Year Representative

This is the person who makes sure all the first years know whats going on. The 1st year rep is elected at the first Mathsoc lecture of the year.

Ordinary Committee Member

The OCM helps out at any of the events needing that extra bit of work. Its a good way to find out what actually happens at Mathsoc meetings without getting a specific job.


Ex Officio

The Ex Officio's job is to make sure that this years committee dosnt make a mess of things. Having been on a previous year's committee they are able to offer good advice and suggestions.
