Older Mathsoc Committee's
2007-2008
Auditor - James Neill
Applied Maths and Physics, Second Year
James takes the lead of the Mathsoc for 2007-2008. Having made one bad move already this year, the mathsoc decided to take retaliation and hire someone from UCC HitSoc. Have you seen James hand recently? He had better be good for the remainder of the year.
Vice - Mary Clare Murphy
Maths and Applied Maths, Third Year
I have nothing funny to say about Mary-Clare yet. The year is young though and I'm sure i'll have something soon.
Treasurer - Sarah Jane Leahy
Maths and Economics, Second Year
"The money resting in the Mathsoc account cannot be used for buying lollypops." Keep telling SJ this, if you want to have any of the usual events through out the year.
Social Sec - Aimée Carmondy
Maths and Applied Maths, Third Year
I'm pretty sure Aimée is from Limerick. Hmmmm, how are we going to have a Mystery Tour up there.
PRO - Richard Terry
BA in Maths and History, H-dip
Richard is in control of the board in the Kane basement. Expect to see some scandalous photos in there.
Secretary - Cathal O'Donavan
Applied Maths and Physics, Third Year
Cathal wears a pink shirt at every event!! Its true.
Competitions - Stephen Casey
Maths and Physics, Forth Year
Stephen is back for another year full of competitions. And with this year being the final Des MacHale superbrain, he has a bit of work on his hands.
Webmaster - Brian O'Connor
Maths and Applied Maths, Forth Year
If there was a position for mathsoc photographer, brian would be it. Through out all the events of the last two years, Brian has been there with his camera. This year he actually takes a position, so maybe he will get recognised.
Postgraduate Officer - TBC
Mathematical Sciences, Masters
Write info on the person here when elected
1st Year Rep - Eoin Murphy
Mathematical Sciences, First Year
Are you a first year and have questions regarding the mathsoc. Well this is the man to talk to, he might not know the answer but you can still talk to him.
OCM - Michelle Ward
Financial Maths, Third Year
Wow, we have a financial maths student on the mathsoc committee. Thats certainly a first in my time here in UCC. You know, the financial maths students and especially Shelly are not really all that bad.
Ex Officio - Danny Lynch
Maths and Physics, Forth Year
Bit like the grand-daddy of the Mathsoc, the ex-officio doesn't really do any work about the place, but can give advice on some stuff, tell you where your going wrong, and complain starting with the sentence "Back in my day...".
