Like every other club weekend away, this one started in the Western Star, where we still failed to leave on time despite advertising that we were leaving an hour earlier than we actually were. We arrived in Lauragh at about 10 O' Clock on Friday night. It was by now too late to start a major session- or so you would think.

Tradition was observed with the Sibin being occupied until closing time, followed by general mayhem in the bunkhouse. Highlights of the evening included Diarmaid Coffey's rendition of "I Want You Back" by Take That, Aidan Hanifan missing his footing and sprawling himself across a table and Rachel and Jen proving that they are the original "Nah Boy" girls.

The weather continued in the same vein as the rest of the year, and despite Conor, Cliona and Caroline's valiant efforts to get the group all the way around the Cumeengeara Horseshoe, we had to yield to better judgment half-ways around and come down. Saturday night was a little quieter, although not much. On Sunday most of us went for a short walk up Knockatee before heading back to Cork.
As always, these weekends don't happen on their own, and credit is due to all those involved in the organisation of the trip, which lived up to all our expections.

Turn around for the camera? Nah Boy!
