What a year!!! The mountains were
brilliant as ever with some glorious weather in Gouganne Barra and Hungry Hill,
It didn’t last for long though and a number of walks were dominated by the wind,
rain and snow. A year in which the Reeks Ridge evaded us, while laughing at our
pathetic attempts again, and again even throwing Lord of the Rings type snowy
blizzards at us. It may have won this year . . .
But to diversify, it was also a year
of romance for certain individuals within the club, mainly to do with visitors
to this fair country of ours. The odd skyscraping German and an especially large
onslaught of American women. Even a club marriage of all things!!!
(congratulations Kari and Will by the way)
The trips away were the best ever with the introduction of Mr. Dillons Michael Jackson superdancing in Dingle, prefabricated pubs in the Mournes and most recently a narrow escape for Sean from a town of muggers in LaHinch. Sure what more could you ask for??
