This really was an excellent year and much fun was had by all. Who can forget the trips away to Dingle, Lauragh and of course Arran where we sampled some of the finest mountains these areas had to offer, some people even went rockclimbing, quite amazing really. Large groups attended all of these trips and it was great to sit down and have a good old sing song, it seems that some traditions die hard.
After the winter break we had some amazing weather in the reeks mainly lots of snow, these walks were excellent and very memorable. Unfortunately The weather got progressively worse and a lot of the climbs were done in rain but we dealt with it. There was also that epic rescue coming down from Mullaginaitin were many members covered themselves in a shroud of glory Beautiful.
On our travels we met up with many great people and some not so great, the
stingiest barman in the world comes to mind immediately. The committee did a great job and
much fun was had by all even the oldies (who wrote that??). I have too
many good memories to pick from but if I had to it would have to be the trip to Arran
where there was such a great laugh had by everyone.
