IRIS Proposals, a new online application that allows researchers to record, manage and track internal approval for their research funding proposals, will be launched on March 12th.
Currently, when a researcher wishes to submit an external funding application, they are required to complete a proposal review form (the ‘Appendix A’ document). Following its completion, the form must be printed-off, signed by the Head of their School/Department and finally, physically delivered to the Research Office. This time-consuming, paper-based process will be replaced by IRIS Proposals.
Using IRIS Proposals, researchers can electronically create and submit a Proposal Review Form for approval. Their Head of Unit will be alerted of the submission via email, and can review and approve online. The Research Office will be able to track proposal review decisions and process the funding application accordingly.
