Education and Outreach to Schools and Young People

The aim of the Education and Outreach Programme is to promote an understanding and appreciation of science in young people and highlight career opportunities in science.  There are many opportunities for students, parents and teachers to get involved with the APC.  Some of our activities include:

Primary Schools

The APC develops educational activities for primary schools which aim to support teachers in biological aspects of the new science curriculum and stimulate an interest in science in 10-12 year old students.   Visits by APC scientists to schools are available throughout the school year. Support material is available to teachers, together with a Feedback Form.
