The APC has many strengths and expertise that make it an ideal research partner for companies from many sectors, such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, medical imaging, functional foods and medicinal foods. Our research programmes and platform technologies cover a diverse range of topics, such as gastroenterology, immunology, microbiology, metabolic syndrome, obesity, neurogastroenterology, anti-microbials, infectious disease, prebiotics and prebiotics, metagenomics. The APC is a  translational centre, spanning molecule discovery to medicines, with our platforms such as preclinical models to clinical studies. One of the APC’s core missions is to partner academic research excellence with industry expertise. The APC has a variety of interaction models, from contract research to truly collaborative research programmes, which can be scaled according to the company’s research needs.

The APC currently has a number of technology opportunities available for commercialisation:

Where relevant, the APC will work together with the interested company to develop a research proposal that will facilitate the company to apply for Irish State R&D assistance and funding mechanisms, through the Irish agencies, such as Science Foundation Ireland (SFI), IDA Ireland and Enterprise Ireland (EI). The scale and nature of this interaction would be designed to suit the company’s research requirements.

If you are interested in exploring any of these technology opportunities or discussing potential research collaborations, please contact:
