Industry collaborators
One of the APC’s core missions is to partner academic research excellence with industry expertise.The APC greatly values its greatly its interactions with industry, which help add a rigour to the APC research programmes to develop outputs of commercial relevance and which answer societal needs.
In addition to our industry partners, the APC also works with a number of other industry collaborators and affiliates, from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to multinational corporations (MNCs) and is continuously seeking new collaborations with industry, where research synergies exist with the APC.
Examples of companies that the APC currently collaborates with are:
- Sigmoid Pharma
- Nestle
- Friesland Foods
- Carbery
Where relevant, the APC will work together with interested company to develop research proposals that will facilitate companies to apply for Irish State R&D assistance and funding mechanisms, through the Irish agencies, such as Science Foundation Ireland (SFI), IDA Ireland and Enterprise Ireland (EI).
The APC also has a track record of working with both SMEs and MNCs in EU Framework programmes and is keen to discuss current opportunities in the FP7 calls with interested companies.
