The development of APC staff and students is of crucial importance to meet the APC goal of producing the scientific leaders of tomorrow. This is achieved through the professional laboratory training of postgraduate students and postdoctoral fellows. APC’s Principal Investigators make significant contributions to both graduate and undergraduate education, providing a unique multidisciplinary perspective on science to all students associated with the centre.
The Ed&O programme addresses the education and career development of APC researchers and has also taken a lead role in developing new educational programmes to strengthen the skills in areas such as entrepreneurship, innovation and business development.
Staff and students participate in outreach events such as ‘APC Bringing Science to Society’ and ‘Science for All', in which postgraduates present their research to the general public in a competition which is part of a postgraduate Module on Science Communication and Outreach, PG6014.
