Mission Statement
"The UCC Nursing Society represents all UCC nursing students
and supports them in the areas of educational,
extracurricular and social activities."
The UCC Nursing Society was founded in 2003 by a group of students in 1st and 2nd Year BSc Nursing, many of them Class Reps. It was felt by these students that UCC nursing students could benefit from having an organisation working for them that focused on their needs alone.
The Society, by its constitution represents all UCC nursing students, including undergraduate and postgraduate. Our aim is to provide you, the student, with every possible opportunity to enhance your knowledge and skills, in preparation for your future career...and also help you to relax and unwind in between!
Guided by our Constitution, the Society organises social, educational and extracurricular activities for students, and as such, our scope of activities is enormous.
From the Nursing Ball, to trips to learning exhibitions, seminars, society parties, theme nights etc., we organise it!
We organise events such as:
Annual Nurses Ball
Nurses party nights
Fancy Dress Parties for Halloween
End of Year Parties
Fundraisers for local charities
Stands for Healthy Living Week on Campus
Guest Speakers, Awareness Days
Spring Nursing Conference with guest speakers
and more...
We are always looking for more students to become involved with the Society - if you are interested in helping out, please talk to any of the Committee members.
We would be delighted to hear from you! Also, if any students have ideas for an event they would like to see organised, then again, speak to any of the Committee, or contact us by any of the ways listed, and we will see what we can do!
