The UCC Nursing Society and midwifery (NurSoc) was founded in 2003 and represents all nursing and midwifery students in UCC. We organise social, educational and learning activites and trips for nursing students on a regular basis, and aim to provide you with as much support (and fun!) as possible throughout your course of study.
We advise all students to join a nursing trade union - either the Irish Nurses Organisation (INO) or Psychiatric Nurses Association (PNA) to deal with rostering, allowances etc. Further details available from the Society.
We hope this site will be a useful resource for all nursing and midwifery students in UCC. If you have any queries or suggestions on how to improve this site, please contact any member of the society, there is at least one in every year!

Members of the nursing society donating the money raised by recent charity event run by the nursing society, a total of 1,500 euro was raised for the Irish association of spina bifida and hydrocephalus.
