Dr John Mee writes:
A new improved version of
University College Cork's IRLII (Irish Legal Information
Initiative) site has now gone live.
See www.irlii.org
The site has been completely redesigned to make it more user
friendly.
The IRLII site serves two purposes - it provides
customised Irish access to BAILII ( www.bailii.org
) and also it provides various independent services:
(i) a searchable index of Irish cases (High and Supreme
Court) from 1997 to date. You can e.g. search by the name of
either of the parties - the results are in tabular form,
with hyperlinks to those of the results which are available
on BAILII plus details of whether the cases are reported in
the Irish Reports or Irish Law Reports Monthly.
(ii) a searchable index of 15 Irish legal periodicals,
going back to 1997
(iii) a listing of Statutory Instruments from recent
years, with hyperlinks to those available for free on 40
different websites (this covers SIs which are not yet
available on the Attorney General's website).
(iv) full text of recent Irish statutes (so far up to no.
31 of 2003), with hyperlinks to each section from the table
of sections.
Hope you find this useful. We would be grateful for any
feedback on the site, which should be sent to m.odowd@ucc.ie
or through the feedback form on the site.
