| Each month, the Chaplaincy offers students to go on a day trip to a site of religious significance in Ireland. On these day long trips, we travel by bus to a few sites associated with the Saints of Munster and other heritage sites and there is usually a guided tour. The trips only cost €5 and must be paid in advance into IONA, the chaplaincy building, on College Road. Check the schedule below: |

| The annual Charity Ball takes place in November. Students, staff and businesses are invited to attend this event. The ball aims to raise funds for local and international charities. This year, it will be a 'Sixties' themed Ball, with sixties music and decorations. Tickets cost €50 for adults and €30 for students (including a wine reception, three course meal, live band and DJ). Tickets are available from IONA, the chaplaincy building, College Road or tel: 021 490 2459. |

| The Chaplaincy offers a number of retreats throughout the year. The retreats are usually held in a tranquil place on the Southern coast in West Cork. There is an introductory retreat primarily for newcomers to UCC (First Years or International students), a silent retreat, where participants spend the weekend in silence. In the second term, retreats will focus more deeply on spirituality and theology. See the schedule below. |
