The MComm (Government & Public Policy) programme is a postgraduate research degree taken over two years on a part-time basis. It is designed for experienced practitioners in full-time employment in the public sector or related areas who wish to undertake part-time postgraduate study. The programme focuses on public policy, public administration, public management and related areas of governance and politics. The core of the programme is the completion of a 12-15,000 word thesis. This process is supported by a series of one-day campus seminars at UCC, e-learning facilities, research training and detailed supervision of the researching and writing of the thesis.
The MComm is designed to equip students with concrete research experience which prepares them for both further academic research and research-based career progression. The closing date for applications is 18 August 2006. All applications must be submitted online via www.pac.ie. Further information on the programme and application procedure is available from either the UCC Postgraduate Admissions Office or from the Programme Director, Dr Mary C. Murphy.
