Áras na Laoi

This building has been extensively modernised and extended since it was built as 'Lee Cottage' in the 19th century, and first occupied by the Governor of the County Gaol. The original structure is contained within the central portion of the existing facade. The property was purchased by the College in 1976 from the Sisters of La Retraite, who had been running the premises as a residential hostel for female University students. It now houses various academic departments.
