Visual Resources Room
Resource needs for History of Art are managed by James Cronin, Visual Resources Officer. These include, online support for the Visuallab; administration of the slide collection; resource procurement; support unit liaison (Disability Support and Audio-Visual Services); website management and conference audio-visual coordination and support. History of Art, received a Quality Improvement Award in 2004 for visual resource development. The Visual Resources Officer is committed to the application of new technologies to teaching and learning and developing a multi-media learning environment within History of Art.
The slide collection, located in the Visual Resources Room in 3 Perrott Ave., is for the exclusive use of full-time and part-time teaching staff on the History of Art degree and European Art History diploma programmes. For information on access please contact James Cronin e-mail j.cronin@ucc.ie.
History of Art is a visual subject and it is essential to become familiar with appropriate stores of images. You can review key images and texts from the lectures on the Visuallab. This site can be accessed through this page from the open access computer labs in college or from a home computer.
