Welcome to the home page of the Aquaculture and Fisheries Development Centre. Operational since 1987, and originally called the ADC, in 2001 the name change was made to incorporate our increasing involvement in fisheries research. Our devotion to aquaculture research and development continues as strongly as ever, and we have now moved from our original home at the Zoology Department, Lee Maltings, to a custom build unit at the 12.5-acres Distillery Field site at the North Mall, close Cork city centre. The AFDC supports and coordinates aquaculture research at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
