Intervarsities 2011
Yet another intervarsities has come and gone and UCC did exceptionally well this year coming in third palce for the overall competition which is the best the club has done in a good few years. Congratulations to the few beginners who were chosen to represent UCC along with our experienced fencers, all of you were amazingly fantastic. We should give a special mention the ladies teams who all came in second place in their respective weapons.

East of Ireland Open 2011: Results

Prof. Duffy Epee 2011: Results
Hello everybody! Welcome back. I know it's been quite a while since my last update on whats happening in the world of UCC fencing but here we go. The Prof. Duffy Memorial Team Epee was held in Trinity last weekend (29/30 January). UCC sent up 3 teams, Barry's Tea and The Other Team were the men's team and one ladies team.

Irish Open 2010 : Change of Venue
For anybody who hasn't heard already, the Irish Open will NOT be held in UCD. It will now be held in the RDS Concert Hall, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 due to adverse weather conditions. All check in times remain as previously stated. irishfencing.net/competition/calendar
Schull 2010: Results
Schull, which is the biggest single weapon competition in Ireland, was a roaring success. Congratulations to everyone especially Erin Barclay and Matthew Tracey, both from UCC, for winning first place in Women's and Men's Foil. UCC also won 5 out of 8 medals which is tremendous. We are all so proud! It is so good to see last year's beginners doing so well along with this year's beginners.

Schull Update & West of Ireland Open 2010 : Results
Firstly, for people who are wondering about Schull there is an info pack on the website at this link. I am also thrilled to announce that the prizes this year will generously be sponsored by PBT.
Secondly, last weekend the West of Ireland Open was held in Galway. Though not a lot of people from the club participated but well done to everyone who did. I am glad to say that so far this year we have been getting remarkable results, let's hope this continues onwards and upwards.

Schull 2010
On November 6th we will be hosting the Schull Novice Cup in the Mardyke Arena, Cork City. The competition is foil only for all people who have been fencing for less than two years. It's a great competition for people who have just started fencing because you will be against a lot of other beginners. It's a great way to get to know a lot of others fencers too.
Novice Cup : 2010
A HUGE congratulations to everyone who went up to the Novice Cup in Dublin over the weekend. The amount of trophies you all brought back is phenomenal. All of you did extremely well, we are all so proud of you! And to hear that both of the all weapon trophies went to Erin Barclay and Peter Gosnell is outstanding. It's just amazing how well you all did, WELL DONE!

South of Ireland Open 2010
